FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I am paneled with both Aetna and Anthem BCBS.
Can I get reimbursed from my insurance even though you don’t accept my insurance?
Possibly! Reach out to your insurance to determine if you have out-of-network benefits in which they may reimburse you. I can create an invoice, called a Superbill, for you to submit to your insurance.
What does therapy look like?
This varies from person to person. In our initial few sessions we will explore your needs, wants, and goals for therapy to make sure this is a good fit for you. Ultimately, a positive foundation is created between the client (you!) and therapist before work is done. If you don’t feel comfortable with your therapist, therapy won’t benefit you. I strive to ensure the therapeutic relationship is strong!
Do you only do in-person therapy?
Nope! I do both in-person and virtual therapy.
What is expressive arts therapy?
Expressive arts use non-traditional avenues of therapy besides talking. This may include the use of painting, collage, music, dance, poetry, nature, journaling, etc. I understand that talking does not always come easy and other avenues can help you express yourself better.
